»» RITSH presented in Italy

Riding Together - Solidarity on Horseback was presented at the 46° Equiraduno Nazionale, a national event organized by the National Equestrian Federation of Italy (FITETREC ANTE) with the participation of RITSH's partnership member Scuderie del Peschio. The ceremony took place on the 25th of June at San Giuliano del Sannio main square, gathering around 2000 people among riders and visitors. The ceremony was preceded by the participation of RITSH’s team members at the horse riding tour organized within the FITETREC ANTE national celebration in the region of Molise.

»» Training programme 2: final session at IFCE
The last session of RITSH's Training programme 2, devoted to transfer of learning and collective pedagogy in equestrian sport, took place at The Institute Français du cheval et de l'Equitation (IFCE). This session ocurred between the 1st and the 5th of May 2017 in the IFCE French National Horse-Riding School of Saumur.

The documentary film production about the project Riding Together - Solidarity on Horseback started with filming sessions at Parbold Equestrian Centre and Carrington Equestrian Centre, both British Horse Society's national partners, followed by Scuderie del Peschio in Italy.

Discover Photo voice, a participatory research method based on photos and videos through which the main beneficiaries of social projects get to participate in the acknowledgment of the impact of those projects in their lives. This method will be used during RITSH research about the effects of horse mediated activities on health and society. Meet our team: Rosaria Pasquale

With a large experience in European projects management, Rosaria Pasquale is the responsible for coordinating RITSH at Scuderie del Peschio, as well as monitoring the development of the Social Enterprise Model in Italy. As project manager, Rosaria is dedicated to the development of horse-mediated activities for all, by implementing the project’s social inclusion program at Scuderie del Peschio.

News from our partners: Todos a Galope

RITSH’s coordinator and partner Todos a Galope received the visit of 15 children between 10 and 12 years old coming from Ucrania, namely from areas affected by the recent political and military conflict. This initiative is integrated into the project “Abraço” (“Hug”), organized in Portugal by Colégio São João de Brito that provides these children the opportunity to spend their school holidays period abroad.

On the 20th and 21st of September 2017 the British Horse Society (BHS), RITSH's partnership member, will organize the BHS Welfare Conference 2017 which this year will be devoted to the theme "Horse Care and Training: Are We Getting the Fundamentals Right?" addressing issues such as horse training, welfare, and management.
